41 Affirmations for Moms: Embracing the Journey of Motherhood

Affirmations for Moms

To encompass the experience of Motherhood in just a few sentences is practically impossible. It’s wonderful, yet challenging. Joyful, yet difficult. Full of fun yet chaotic. It’s emotional and a complete transformation of your life as you knew it. And let’s not forget the sacrifices you make as a mother: your time, your schedule, your work, your body, your money, everything! It’s totally OK to not be loving every moment like we see on social media. It’s totally OK to be feeling brave in some moments and doubtful in others. While navigating this monumental season of life, it’s also important to have the right people or resources in your corner to help affirm and support you along the way.

If I can be honest with you, motherhood has been no easy feat for me. As I’ve adjusted to this new season of life, I’ve needed constant reminders that help reiterate and remind me of my new priorities and affirm how I go about my life. All my life I’ve been about accomplishing the next level, grade, task, or achieving certain goals. Motherhood is the exact opposite of that type of lifestyle and training. You have to be willing to go with the flow, be comfortable with not knowing what you’re doing, and realize that sometimes your accomplishment was just getting through the day with your child alive and healthy.

It’s easy to doubt ourselves, be unsure, a little fearful, or worried. Short statements or helpful reminders that reinforce a positive mindset can be such powerful tools to help you overcome certain thoughts or challenging situations and help you take that next step forward. It’s also a wonderful step in the direction of investing in yourself as a woman. Affirmations allow you to be present and celebrate the joys of this season vs. just struggling to survive each day.
